A "source close to Carroll" (pictured right) has told Newcastle newspaper The Chronicle: “Andy is realistic about next season.
"He is not expecting to be at Newcastle or West Ham.
“He’s prepared to go back to Liverpool and fight for his place.
"Andy feels there is still some unfinished business at Liverpool and wants to continue his good rapport with the Kop.”
We can tell you ... Andy Carroll WANTS a return to Newcastle, regardless what the Chronicle claims.
He has not ruled out a return to Liverpool, simply because he is under contract at the club, and what else could he say?
But he would jump at a return to St James' Park ... and trust me on that!
