Does Keegan Need Man Utd Right Now?

Fourteen days without a game and they take on a side who embarrassed them last month 6-0 at Old Trafford.

There can be no excuses this time. The Toon players have only played a fraction of Man Utd's games this campaign, and it seems laughable that James Milner is talking about "burn out".

Kevin Keegan: "We have to try to get the balance right in the break and I believe it will be a good thing.

"By the time we come to Man United we would have had everyone together for the first time. Geremi is now back (from Africa) and I've now met all of the lads and got to know everyone that little bit better. The lads have been very focused and we've got through some good work.

"Because the (transfer) deadline has passed, we have got what we have until the end of the season and we have to try and make the best of that.

"We need a win. That's all we lack at the moment.

"The confidence will come back, the football will get better and the players will start to trust each other that little bit more."
