Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez seemed to make a howler bringing on Colback and Diame late in the game when his team were steam-rollering Leeds last night.

His time-wasting tactics backfired in a major way as Leeds scored in the 95th minute.

Newcastle had 19 corners to Leeds United's none, showing just how one-side this game was.

But ... enter Colback and Diame in the final minutes and the team fell apart.

Rafa today blamed the referee for the added on time "I'm pleased with the performance of the team, the commitment, the passion, the effort, the way that we played, the chances that we had.

"I'm disappointed because we made a mistake at the end - and when I say at the end, 95 minutes.

"It's very difficult to understand for me why we have a penalty the other day [against Burton] and [the game is stopped for] seven minutes and they gave three minutes, and today 95 minutes.

"I don't understand a lot of things in the last games."

There's a rule in football Rafa "PLAY TO THE WHISTLE! A GAME IS ONLY AS LONG AS A REFEREE SAYS!"
