Desperate Freddy Waits On Owen

Owen has been out of action since picking up a serious knee injury during the World Cup Finals this summer, when he had only played 30 minutes of football for Newcastle in 2006. That being the last match of the season against Chelsea.

Should he have gone to Germany with England? Obviously not, but we only that after the event.
However, chairman Freddy Shepherd is cannot wait for Owen to bring some happy times back to the club.

Shepherd: "I know once he comes back, you will see the old Michael better than he has ever been. He has a lot to prove to people, but I am convinced that he will write his name into the history books at this club."
