Standard Liege officials want a decision today as to whetherGlenn Roeder is planning to keep the defender at St James's Park.

The question is plain - is the United States international better than what we already have at the club?

Having agreed to let the 24-year-old spend an extended trial period at St James' Park, the is a deadline for Roeder to make up his mind, and that ends this morning.

Craig Moore and Titus Bramble look set to leave in the summer, so Roeder has his hands full finding class replacements.
