Dabizas set for Rovers move?

Apparently after missing out on Barcelona’s Frank de Boer and Rangers’ Lorenzo Amoruso Rovers boss Graeme Souness has targeted Dabizas as the man to replace the departing Henning Berg.

Dabizas himself is quoted in The Mirror as saying he wants to leave, despite Sir Bobby’s recent plea for him to stay.

"My football heart is not beating at Newcastle any more. It is really frustrating as I believe I have a lot to offer and that the best years in my career are still to come," he is reported to have said.

"In the last three months I did not get to play any first team football and playing for the reserves hardly satisfied my football ambitions.

"I would consider a move to a club that would really believe in me. I want to play regular first team football."
