Club In Limbo As Keegan Stands Firm!

Keegan's future as Newcastle manager remains shrouded in doubt as the board at St James´ Park are desperate to halt a full-scale riot!

The rumour we hear is that a vast majority of Toon players are behind the Magpies boss and there will be a number willing to hand in transfer requests in January unless Mike Ashley swallows his pride and gives Keegan a full reign over player affairs.

Keegan is reported to be unhappy at much of the club's transfer activity being conducted by Dennis Wise.

The sale of James Milner to Aston Villa went against the former England manager's wishes, and news that Michael Owen was available for transfer on the last day of the transfer window gutted the former England boss.

Newcastle confirmed on Wednesday that talks with Keegan were 'ongoing', and insisted that he had not been sacked, or resigned from his post.

But with no further public announcements emerging from the North East club, and no sign of Keegan at their Darsley Park training base, speculation continues to rage.

The club's fans have already threatened to boycott matches should his time at the helm be brought to an abrupt and unseemly end.

And with a lot of fans paying for season tickets through direct debit, the club could find itself with a massive problem should they decide to cancel.
