"At the time, I thought it was a nailed-on penalty and I think a lot of people at the stadium did.

"With the benefit of slow-motion replays and different angles there has become an element of doubt.

"But I thought he clipped Robinho just prior to touching the ball with his trailing leg.

"It's all interpretation and it was fairly slight contact but, when they're running quickly, that's all it takes to take them out of their stride and it's a penalty.

"I don't know who reviewed it and whether or not they were football people or just guys who have an interest.

"I've no idea but it's a big boost for Newcastle."
