Carver hits out at Bobby knockers

The first team coach is angry that some people already appear to have forgotten what Sir Bobby has achieved since taking over from Ruud Gullit.

"It's a case of going from hero to zero in the space of a week,” Carver told the Evening Chronicle.

“And to be honest, all of us have deserved some of the criticism which has been levelled at this football club.

"But the gaffer has seen it all before and he has dealt with it then and I'm sure he will do the same this time around.

"And when you look back at how much he has achieved at St James' Park in such a short time it's remarkable."

Couldn’t agree more with Carver’s sentiments but people in highly paid jobs at the club also have to remember that the fans who pay their wages are entitled to their opinion and to express it.

Of course he has also forgotten to mention the theory that the upturn in fortunes under Sir Bobby coincided with Mick Wadsworth leaving and being succeeded by Carver himself.
