Mind you, how often do the words "Krul" and "shot" appear in the same sentence?

John Carver: “It’s been a normal week.

“The manager did all his work in the build-up.

“It was a little bit strange getting on the bus without him.

“We had contact a couple of times – at half-time and just before full-time. That was it, really.

“It was strange for me, as it’s a little while since I was a manager.

“But it didn’t feel strange once the game got going.

“You go into your normal mode as a coach. You see things happening. It wasn’t that strange.

“I don't think Alan not being there had any impact on the game. It was one chance at one end, a mistake at the other end – not giving the free-kick – and the ball ends up in the back of the net.”

"It was handball by Fulham’s Johnny Heitinga - a penalty.

“Howard Webb said he was in the wrong position, but he needs a little bit of help from the assistant.

“Then he blows for the full-time whistle.

“There’s nothing we can do about. I’ve spoken to Howard, and he said, in the position he was in, he didn’t really see it.”
