Carroll Wonder Goal Better Than Rooney's?

Image result for Andy Carroll goal Crystal PalaceAndy Carroll scored a sensational overhead kick yesterday to send West Ham fans into hysterics - the same fans that had been singing Dimitri Payet's name all season.

The former Newcastle striker had plenty to say on Dimitri Payet's outburst that he wants to leave West Ham.

Payet was not in the squad against Crystal Palace yesterday after West Ham boss Slaven Bilic revealed on Thursday that the France international wants to leave the London club.

But West Ham proved that there is life without the France international in a 3-0 win over their London rivals.

And Carroll believes the atmosphere at the London Stadium yesterday proves West Ham will be just fine without Payet.

“I don't think any player is bigger than the club," said Carroll.

"That's what the lads believe, the manager, all the staff and the fans.

"We showed we're a tight group and got three points for it."

Payet has been linked with a return to Ligue 1 side Marseille, who he left to join West Ham just 18 months ago.

The France international was rewarded with a bumper new £125,000-a-week deal by the Hammers last year for an excellent first season in the Premier League.

As for THAT goal, Andy said: "It's the best I have ever scored."

Was it better than Wayne Rooney's goal against Man City? I'm sure plenty will argue his case.
