Carr Injury Could Benefit Toon Cause!

The Irishman is out with a hamstring problem, and it could be the start of something new as Kevin Keegan is forced to suffle his back-line.

Turkey international Emre has a calf strain, and striker Obafemi Martins, who returned from the African Nations Cup with an ankle injury, will miss out once again. 

But it is not all bad news, Charles N'Zogbia is available after serving a one-match ban and goalkeeper Shay Given has returned to training after a groin problem.

As for Man Utd - Ryan Giggs is expected to recover from a knock. The Welsh winger suffered the slight injury in midweek during the 1-1 draw against Lyon in midweek.

Apart from Gary Neville and Mikael Silvestre, manager Sir Alex Ferguson has a full-strength squad to call on.

He may decide to freshen things up with Carlos Tevez pushing for a place in the starting line-up after scoring the equaliser in France.
