The defender may be drafted in to replace Hearts skipper Steven Pressley who is a major injury doubt for the game.
Caldwell is particularly keen to test himself against Andy O’Brien and Shay Given, as he told the Nationwide website: "Hopefully they will both get some part of the game to prove their worth to their new manager.
"They’re both quite good friends of mine, but I hope to be able to beat them and get one up on them."
