Cabaye To Miss Norwich Trip?

Sources in France say that United rejected a £14million bid for Cabaye from Paris St-Germain over the weekend – and with Man Utd said to be entering the race - Newcastle could "rest" him hoping to push through a deal.

Cabaye said last week he would gain nothing by returning to Paris this transfer window, and that he hopes to stay in the Premier League ... although that could be with Arsenal or Man Utd ... or stay at Newcastle of course.

Newcastle's travels last season were a nightmare, winning at just Aston Villa and relegated Queens Park Rangers during their slump to 16th.

Yohan Cabaye: “The home team has to play to win the game and to attack.

“We are staying solid and we can play well.

“We play well at home but sometimes it is more difficult.

“We have to improve at home against teams who stay and defend.

“We won at West Ham.

“Now we have to work and stay confident for the future.

“Even if we had not played well at West Ham, the most important thing was the win.

“Fortunately for us we did both.

“Our confidence is very nice, so we have to carry on and work hard to stay where we are.”
