The young Dutchman has been playing in the Magpies' first XI since No.1 Steve Harper sustained a shoulder injury in September.
But Harper is back ... and ready to give Alan Pardew his first goalkeeping problem ... "which one do I pick?".
Tim Krul: "It's going to be a nice fight because Steve, of course, is a friend of mine as well.
"Steve is almost 100% now, and the weather has helped him with the Birmingham game being called off.
"We're just going to fight for it and see who wins."
