We lost to Hull ourselves in a pre-season Newcastle XI fixture, so we know they can be a handfull.

Hutchings brings back ex-Toon midfielder Antoine Sibierski, who has been out injured.

Sibierski will play after coming through training on Thursday after a recent hamstring strain, but winger Antonio Valencia is doubtful with a knee injury.

Hutchings is certain to revert to the majority of the side that drew 1-1 at West Ham last Saturday after making eight changes for the surprise midweek Carling Cup defeat to Hull City.

Hutchings is confident the 1-0 loss will not have affected morale.

Hutchings: "We gave a few players an opportunity to play a game who maybe thought they should be playing in the first team.

"It was up to them to show me what they could do, and while we were in it to win it, it didn't happen. It was very disappointing.

"It's gone now and we can't dwell on it. We have to pick up the positives from the previous three Premier League games, and that is what we will be doing.

"We will be looking to pick up where we left off and get another positive result at Newcastle."
