Boom Wages NOT A Problem In Monte Carlo

Monaco are ready to end his Newcastle United misery by taking the £8.5m defender to Monte Carlo.

Apparently they are only prepared to pay £3m for the French international, but that could be enough to coax Fat Fred to get him off the wage bill.

Boumsong still has three years of his contract to run, and he is sat on an incredible £35,000 a week salary. So the 26-year-old central defender would have to take a big cut in his earnings if he is going to leave the club. But he will not have to pay tax in Monaco, so that figure may not be a problem.

Boumsong will return to Newcastle on Friday, July 28 when he will decide his future.
