The midfielder spent last season on loan at the Reebok Stadium, and helped them stay in the Premier League.

Guthrie: "I'm really looking forward to making my proper home debut.

"I know a lot of the Bolton lads from last season, but it's all about Newcastle for me now ,and I'm hoping we can win on Saturday.

"It was a massive season for me last year, and I'll always think of going to Bolton as a big turning point in my career.

"It's why I'll always have a nice feeling when I think of Bolton, because they gave me a chance.

"I played for Bolton at Newcastle last season and the atmosphere was just unbelievable because Kevin Keegan had just come back.

"I cannot wait to experience that again as a Newcastle player on Saturday.

"It was a good start on Sunday, we were more than pleased with the point.

"It's turned out really well for me getting a start against Manchester United, and I'm just looking to build on that now and get as many games as I can.

"It was a great team effort, but it means nothing if we don't win at home to Bolton."
