Little has struggled to hold down a place in Kevin Blackwell's starting line-up since arriving on a free summer transfer from Portsmouth, but has seized his chance during the latest injury crisis at Bramall Lane.

The 34-year-old was arguably the Blades' best player in Saturday's goalless home draw with Barnsley, but assistant manager Sam Ellis said: "He's a certain type of player and is not cut out for some matches."

Ellis added: "When he's been picked he's done well, but a lot of things go into lads getting the nod."

Striker Jamie Ward will miss out after suffering a recurrence of his hamstring injury after just 39 minutes of his comeback against Barnsley and Blackwell will be without suspended defender Paul Connolly, sent off in the closing stages for a second yellow card on Saturday.

Henri Camara (groin), Ched Evans (shoulder) and Toni Kallio (calf) and long-term knee victims Gary Naysmith, Derek Geary and Ryan France are all still out.
