If it was a permanent deal the odds would obviously be in Newcastle's favour, but this is a one year loan deal, and Blackpool could offer the kid a lot the Toon cannot.
For starters, the player would not have to uproot, as he lives not that far from the Golden Mile ... and Blackpool would draft him straight into the first team ... and that will not happen at St James' Park.
So, after three months of talks, Hughton is still no nearer getting his man.
