Big Sam "I'm Under Pressure Like Souness"

Allardyce, who was offered the Newcastle job before Souness was appointed last year, can sense a certain unease in the wake of Sunday's 1-0 Reebok Stadium defeat to Everton, following on from the opening-day 2-2 draw at Aston Villa.
"That doesn't surprise me because the pressure is always greater with the bigger clubs from the very start," said Allardyce. "At this stage of the season this game is already a massive one for both teams after an unexpected start with us both only picking up one point.
"It has been undeserved based on the facts, but a reality for both of us, and now the old adage comes back to haunt us that this has become a six-pointer.
"That was a perfect example of what the Premiership can be like. Most of the time you get what you deserve, but then some of the time you don't.
The ultimate scenario is there is only one thing that matters in football - and that's the result. If you don't get that then everything else goes down the swanee because results ultimately breed confidence."
