Big Sam Back To His TRUE Level!

Rovers, like Bolton, are a small club and Big Sam is not expected to bring home the bacon ... as regards titles and cups.

He arrived at St James' Park bragging about his "success" at the Reebok, but it had us all wondering what level he was talking about!

Is keeping a side in the Premiership a success? In the case of Bolton and Blackburn ... yes!

But he was way out of his depth at SJP, where the manager only has to fart and it makes headlines.

Sam Allardyce: "I thought negotiations might be longer and harder but they didn't need to be because both parties were thinking along the same lines - and I'm not talking financially.

"I'm talking about goals, staffing, players, achievement and moving forward. In the end we came to an agreement very quickly.

"At the moment I'm looking forward to Saturday, to getting on the touchline and the adrenaline rush and hopefully at five o'clock I can enjoy the moment.

"I feel great. I have a great buzz about the place and I'm so pleased I'm getting back to doing what I love the most.

"I have grown stronger from that particular experience (at Newcastle) and, most importantly, I've recharged the batteries and am ready to rock and roll again.

"We don't have to sell anyone in the January transfer window

"I know how good the players are - it is one of the reasons I am here - so why would I want to sell any of my best ones?

"I'm not going to do that. Trying to evaluate the squad is the most important thing before I even think about January's transfer window.

"Too often managers come in, particularly at this time, and can make a judgmental decision far too early on a particular player having seen him not at his best.

"It is much more difficult now in the Premier League to find the level and quality of player you need than ever before in my experience over the last eight years."
