Kinnear: "It gives us more stability heading into the transfer window. We had seven players missing against Liverpool so it's there for everybody to see, we're not very strong in terms of depth.
"The long-term injuries are crippling us, so that strengthens my argument for new players, without a doubt. We lost three of a settled back four and we had to start all over again.
"We don't know how long they are going to be out. Habib Beye is on crutches and Jose Enrique is struggling with his hamstring. We definitely need players, for sure, and the defence is an area I'm looking to strengthen."
