Berbatov Deal Could Spark Owen Interest!

And again Kevin Keegan is concerned that Juande Ramos is set to use the dosh raised from the sale of Berbatov to try and sign Michael Owen.

The Spurs striker was deemed psychologically unfit to play this weekend and the Mackems were happy to add to te woes at White Hart Lane by securing a shock win.

There is unrest in North London and the fans, who see the 27-year-old as a cult figure, will want a top replacement and Owen has already been rumoured to be a target.

Kevin Keegan has had words with Mike Ashley because the Messiah said (back in May) that he wanted Owen tied up on a longer contract.

Ashley has "dillied and dallied" and done NOTHING!

Berbatov has handed in a transfer request to Spurs and wants to join United, with his departure appearing inevitable after head coach Juande Ramos deemed him unfocused to face Sunderland.

Spurs would be expected to receive more than double that amount but there has been no official bid since a £20.5million offer was turned down earlier this month.

Keegan target, Zenit St Petersburg's Andrei Arshavin, has been consistently linked.

While Wigan's Emile Heskey has been reported this weekend as a potential target, Ramos would prefer Owen.
