... Hatem Ben Arfa snubbed a deal from Beşiktaş to stay linked to Newcastle.

His Hull City deal is only a loan, and when it ends he hopes Alan Pardew will be gone.

Newcastle had agreed a €1.8 million deal, according to club vice-president Ahmet Nur Çebi.

Ahmet Nur Çebi: "Ben Arfa was on our transfer list, I shook hands with him.

"We had an agreement with the club and player however, Slaven Bilic wanted Sosa.

"I told Bilic that we had a deal in place for Ben Arfa but he was insistent on Sosa.

"Ben Arfa was going to join for €1.8 million on a deal worth €1.7 million, it was a great deal but Bilic refused and we signed Sosa instead."

Beşiktaş signed Jose Sosa from Ukrainian side Metalist for €1.4 million with the option to sign the 29-year-old on a permanent bases for an additional €2 million.
