Bellamy pleads not guilty

Bellamy appeared at Cardiff Magistrates Court on Thursday morning where he entered a not guilty plea on two charges of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, which were racially aggravated.

A date of August 7 was set for a committal hearing at Cardiff Crown Court and the player was granted unconditional bail.

The charges relate to an alleged incident outside a Cardiff nightclub in March, when Bellamy was back in Wales ‘preparing’ for an international game.

For those of you that are interested most of the news reports mention that he was wearing a dark suit and lilac tie, which is obviously crucial to the case.
