The Liverpool striker is reportedly wanted by Italian giants Juventus and Roma.

Bellamy didn't take any part in the Champions League final defeat by AC Milan in Athens and the Italian pair (according to various newspaper reports on Monday) are set to go head-to-head to sign him.

New Juve boss Claudio Ranieri is a big fan of Bellamy and if a deal was struck he would follow his hero Ian Rush, who moved to Turin from Liverpool 20 years ago.

But Roma are set to offer Alessandro Mancini in exchange.

United tried to sign him when he was at Chester but Liverpool beat them to it. World class striker, but well past his sell-buy date when he came to Newcastle. Scored a vital FA Cup goal against Everton that broke Denis Law's FA Cup record. That was about his total output. Should have had him 15 years earlier.
