The Wales striker has not been charged with any specific offence but following discussions between South Wales Police and the Crown Prosecution Service he must still attend court.
Bellamy is alleged to have verbally and racially abused the Asian doorman after being thrown out of Jongleurs comedy club.
The player has previously denied the allegations in a statement made by his solicitor and has co-operated voluntarily into the police investigation into the incident.
