More misery for Joe Kinnear ... Joey Barton left St James's Park on crutches on Saturday evening after picking up a knee injury during the 2-2 draw with Wigan Athletic.
Barton was floored by a tough tackle from Lee Cattermole in the first half and was replaced by Danny Guthrie.

Joe Kinnear: "Joey has serious swelling and is on crutches.
"He's going to hospital in the morning to have a scan.
"We will find out how bad it is in the morning.
"Contact was made with his knee."
Joe was gutted when, of all people, Titus Bramble heading home to earn a point and leave Toon fans disappointed against ten man Wigan, who had Emmerson Boyce red carded in the second half.
Kinnear: "We probably didn't need to give the corner away that led to the goal from Bramble.
"To get beaten by a header so late is a sickener.
"Had we won we'd be in the top 10 because of the way this league is.""
