Barton FA Charge? What About Rooney!!!

Last updated : 26 October 2008 By Footy Mad - Editor
The news was reported by Gosportoon on our message board ... and Jonny_Rubber replies: "since when is kissing the badge an offence?"

NUFC_cj: "It wouldn't surprise me. But the FA have to be very careful here, they could set a ridiculous standard that they would have to enforce."

This could open a can of worms, as Wayne Rooney did the same thing at Goodison Park yesterday ... but only more in the public spotlight ... as he did it ON the pitch.

But what is the big deal?

Mirandinha did it when scored the winner against Liverpool at Anfield, and ran half the length of the Kop!

It happens every week up and down the country every day, and it has gone on for decades, so why suddenly charge a player for doing it?

You cannot suddenly change the laws of the game and slap someone with a ban AFTER the event?

Although ... saying that ... the muppets on the FA board are capable of ANYTHING!
