Ashley's Chopper Visit To Toon!

A lot has been made of Mike Ashley's fleeting visit to Newcastle United's training ground to meet up with boss Chris Hughton ... but was he just passing on his way Xmas shopping?

The Chronicle: "This was one of the first opportunities Ashley has had to discuss transfer activity with Hughton since the former Tottenham man was appointed on a full-time basis.

"Ashley arrived on Tyneside just after 10am, but soon departed after in his helicopter."

One newspaper claims: "Ashley arrived to thank the players for recent results" ... but he was in the dressing room at Preston on Monday, as he is most games. So would he seriously drop in just to offer a "thank you"?
