After insisting he wanted to play in Spain, long-time Newcastle United target Andrei Arshavin is today said to be on his way to Chelsea.

The Zenit St Petersburg midfielder has been a £10m target for the Magpies for months, and they had him watched as long ago as November.
But it seems Arshavin is on his way to
Chelsea, who have had a bid accepted by Zenit.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was leading the chase and he even went to Vienna to hold talks with the player.
But he was told "I want to play in Spain", and that must be a suck-in for the Arsenal boss to find him moving just around the corner at Stamford Bridge.
