Mick Quinn: Was John Carver talking about me on Saturday night?
I caught him having a go at unnamed ex-Newcastle United players in the press who have been critical of him and the club.
My guess is that Alan Shearer may have been at the forefront of his mind, big Al rarely holds back when talking about his club, and I may have annoyed JC with some of my columns.
Let me get one thing out in the open.
I love Newcastle United and I want the team and club to do well.
I would imagine Mr Shearer is the same.
This is football. When you do well the plaudits will come. Do badly and you get criticised. In public.
Maybe some of my criticism hit a bit close to home for JC’s liking.
