Are You Going To Stamford Bridge?

CHELSEA - STAMFORD BRIDGE

GROUND
Away fans are to be located in the South East corner of the Shed End, rather than the lower tier of the East Stand, where away fans have been accommodated for a number of previous seasons. The normal allocation for league games is 3,000 tickets, with fans located in a portion of the upper tier of the Shed End Stand and the whole of the lower tier. If Clubs elect to take only 1,500 tickets then, fans will be located on the East side of the stand in both the upper and lower tiers. For cup games the whole of the Shed End can be allocated.

I have received reports of the stewarding being quite strict at Stamford Bridge, with fans being ejected for not sitting down etc.. so be on your best behaviour. Even though I personally did not experience any problems on my visit, it is worth bearing mind that the Chelsea fans are passionate about their club and this can make for an intimidating atmosphere. However, as with the general improvement in football, away fans are more tolerated nowadays at Stamford Bridge. Please also note that the whole stadium has now been made a no smoking one, this includes the concourses as well as the seating areas.

PUBS
You can take your chance in the many pubs around the ground, but it is always best to remember where you are are respect the fact this can be a dodgy place. There are many bars on the Kings Road and the Slug and Lettuce is OK outside of Fulham Broadway train station. Also the White Horse pub near Parsons Green Station is good, too.

GETTING THERE
Leave the M25 at junction 15 and take the M4 towards London, which then becomes the A4 up to Hammersmith. Carry on over the Hammersmith flyover and after a further one and half miles, take the turning towards Earls Court. Continue past Earls Court station anddown the one-way system until you reach the junction with Fulham Road. At this junction, turn right at the traffic lights and after about half a mile, you will see the ground on your right.

TUBE
The nearest tube station is Fulham Broadway which is on the District Line. Take a tube to Earls Court and, if necessary, change for a Wimbledon bound tube.
