Are We Good Enough To Dampen Forest Fire?

So where does that put us?

We are in the driving seat, just as we have been all season, with (on paper) the best squad in the Division by the proverbial mile. So what can possibly go wrong?

Well ... quite a bit actually ... because we are NEWCASTLE UNITED!

On the negative side ... we have an owner trying to 'give away' the club at a price that is well below the figure we KNOW it is worth, and a manager in control of his first club.

On the positive side ... we will go up and some rich Arab will plough 500 zillion into the club and we will storm the Premiership next season!

Who else is being negative at the moment? The last person you would expect ... the Forest boss!

Billy Davies continued to dampen expectations despite seeing his Nottingham Forest side dismantle QPR in a display that shook the Championship.

Forest overpowered the visitors with three first half goals and added two more after the break.

Billy Davies: "Promotion - not a chance!

"At the moment we have achieved nothing.

"People can talk all they like, but there are too many sporting moments in days gone by where teams or individuals have blown it at the final hurdle. It can happen.

"We can't afford to do anything except prepare for the next match and keep picking up points.

"This is a good side and we are still learning and working hard. We were clinical tonight and it is an important two points gained over West Brom.

"But Until it's over, I'm sorry there are a lot of teams outside the top six that will still believe they can catch us - and they can."
