Another Reason For Toon To Target West Ham Ace

Newcastle are preparing a move for West Ham defender Anton Ferdinand, and that could signal the end for Gooch.

The Daily Mail says Ferdinand he will be sold as the clear-out gains pace with Newcastle top of the list to sign the central defender. He has had his flash car wrecked, and although he refuses to blame West Ham supporters, he is said to be looking for a move.

Bad news for West Ham, and they received even worse news today, as they
could face a points deduction over the transfers of Javier Mascherano and Carlos Tevez in August.

The Premier League will decide on Friday whether to charge the Hammers after they reportedly failed to hand over vital documentation about the Argentine pair.

Tevez and Mascherano were owned by a third party - Media Sports Investment - and that may well have breached Premier League regulations.
West Ham could be charged with fielding ineligible players, though it is thought that a points deduction is unlikely as the previous owners of the club have moved on.

But relegation for the Hammers, and Ferdinand is almost certain to uproot.
