Apparently the AA have just calculated Newcastle followers will travel the most. As if we couldn't have saved them the bother!
The AA claims Toon fans rack up around 8,200 miles and close to £1,100 in fuel travelling to all their away games.
AA: “It was a nail-biting finish with the Mackems and Swansea fans pushing them close.”
The AA Route Planner also noted that Newcastle fans who attend every away game will clock up a staggering 8,198 miles, closely followed by Sunderland (8,053), and Swansea City (7,905).
Aston Villa prop up the table in the travel stakes with their fans only covering 4,237 miles – 3,961 fewer than Newcastle – saving them around £521 in fuel.
