“It was great to send them back to Newcastle in a good mood.
“Everyone’s delighted with the way things have gone, and it’s down to us as players to keep it going.
“Ipswich caused one or two problems in the first half because of our own errors, but once we cut those out, we took control of the game.
“Kevin notched a fantastic hat-trick – he was absolutely delighted, and I think he deserved it.
“It was a great performance by him.
“He’s one of the favourites in the dressing room with the lads – he’s a great laugh.”
