... allegedly the South London club have reportedly rejected an £18million bid from West Ham.

The Hammers new owner wouldn't take "no" for an answer, even though Charlton chairman Richard Murray knocked back three previous offers. But to see £18m knocked back, I get the feeling the man from Iceland will accept he has lost his battle.

Richard Murray: "Darren isn't going anywhere. We've seen another batch of press speculation over the weekend, and the club has been inundated with journalists wanting to know how much we want and where he is going.

"Well, let's make this nice and simple - he's not going anywhere."
