Chopra stars in England defeat

At least one Mag had a good night against Italian opposition on Wednesday, but still finished on the losing side.

Michael Chopra scored twice for England Under-20s at the Stadium of Light, but despite being ahead three times they couldn’t prevent Italy running out 5-3 winners.

Richard Offiong appeared as a 52nd minute substitute for Crewe’s Dean Ashton.

Darren Carter of Birmingham was England’s other goalscorer.
