Chopra and Kerr make international gains

Kerr made his debut for Scotland as a late substitute in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with New Zealand at Tynecastle, having previously represented them at Under-21 and B level.

Meanwhile Chopra has been selected in David Platt’s England Under-21 squad to face Serbia-Montenegro and Slovakia in June.

The 19-year-old travelled to Sardinia with the Under-21s for a recent training camp but next month’s games will be his first chance to win a cap at that level.

If Chopra does feature in either match he will then need only a full cap to have represented England at every level possible.

Also included in Platt’s squad are Darren Ambrose and Shola Ameobi.
