Xmas - The Time To Lift The St James' Doom And Gloom!

Last updated : 16 November 2007 By Footy Mad - Editor

So why the doom and gloom?

Well one of the reasons is that United have yet to meet any of the so-called big four of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool.

And three of those teams will face the Toon between now and the Christmas period, with Manchester United to come later.

Liverpool and Arsenal visit St James' Park in two of their next three games in the Premier League, and home advantage could be crucial.

After that the run-in to the end of the year are four winnable games against Birmingham City, Fulham, Derby County and Wigan Athletic before Chelsea bring down the curtain on 2007.

The Premier League table today shows that for the first time this season Newcastle United are in the bottom half, and the ball is in Big Sam's court to get us back on track.

Will it be a Happy Christmas? Let's keep our fingers crossed!
