Worst FA Cup In Memory?

Or is just (as Newcastle Utd fans) we are bitter at leaving the competition so early, to the most horrendous result since Hereford 1972?

Yes, 5-1 at home to lowly Birmingham City was indeed a culture shock. And no wonder we are all becoming so bitter and twisted.

The draw was made on Monday and Chelsea have been handed a home clash with Tottenham; if Arsenal win their fifth-round replay with Blackburn (as expected) they host Manchester City; and Manchester United visit West Brom or the Smogs.

Leaving us with Plymouth and Premiership bottom side Watford. The Coca-Cola Championship outfit will fancy their chances of reaching the semi-finals for the first time in 23 years against the club that denied them a trip to Wembley in 1984.

So it looks odds on ... Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal in the semi-finals, with opposition from Plymouth or Watford.

How exciting! The English game is starting be as boring as in Scotland.

Sixth Round
Middlesbrough/WBA v Man Utd/Reading
Arsenal/Blackburn v Man City
Chelsea v Tottenham
Plymouth v Watford
Ties to be played on March 10/11.
