Wise quit as manager of Leeds United to move to Newcastle, a surprising switch because he had no previous experience of working as a director of football.Wise's departure appears to be the reason for Alan Shearer's return to the club where he scored 206 goals in 404 games.
Many suggest Shearer would only return to Newcastle on condition Wise was shown the door.
Newcastle are due to hold a news conference on Thursday to announce that the 38-year-old Shearer is taking over as manager.
Meanwhile the 'mystery club' after Wise is said to be in the London area, suggesting it could be Charlton.
