Will Barton Have To Play Wearing A Tag?

Barton will now miss the start of the new campaign, because he has been told he will have to spend another four weeks in prison.

The 25-year-old had hoped to be free a little over a month into his term, but parole chiefs have decided he will have to serve half his sentence.

The Journal claims: "Keegan, yet to speak publicly on the matter since Barton's conviction, will fight his corner, believing he should be given one last chance while receiving help from the Sporting Chance clinic in Hampshire."

And rumour has it, when Barton DOES get out ... he will have to wear a tag.

Now there's an interesting situation that the FA has never dealt with before.
