Why Did Ashley Leave Shearer In The Dark?

So argue "Ashley is a successful business man, he wouldn't drag Newcastle down just for the sake of it".

Personally ... I BELIEVE HE WOULD ... AND HE IS!

He has £700m in his bank account! Experts say: "You only need £2m, the rest is just for show". So Mike Ashley has enough dosh to buy whatever he wants, whenever he wants."

Newcastle United has been his toy. That's why he bought it ... to have some fun!

So what better way to get his own back on those nasty Geordies who want to pull out his wind-pipe ... than to grind it into the ground.

What does it matter to Ashley? The REAL fun could just be starting for him. He's tried being 'constructive' and messed around and made a cow's arse out of it.

So what about Plan 'B'?

The e-mails will flood in again from those in red braces, explaining why his reputation could be ruined ... but his reputation is ALREADY ruined!

From being a respected billionaire, he is now seen as 'Fat Coco The Clown' ... the 'Cockney who wanted to be a Geordie' and looked like a tosser!

It's not WHAT you wear, it's HOW you wear it ... and Ashley looked like a stick of Blackpool rock in his Toon shirt.

If his intentions were honourable, what the hell is going on offering Joe Kinnear his job back?

Kinnear's attempt to return as Newcastle United manager has mystified Alan Shearer following a day of shock at St James’s Park.

A source close to Shearer said of Kinnear’s comments: “Alan did not know anything about it and, although he has been told Joe is wrong and that he wasn’t offered the job, he is concerned.

“Too many lies have been told already regarding the takeover of the club and he is as frustrated as anyone.

“At the moment all Alan can do is continue to wait for updates and hope that the club is sold as soon as possible. His position has not changed.”

However, his appointment looked further away than ever last night as Kinnear revealed he has discussed the takeover process with Ashley, a luxury never afforded to Shearer.

“I’m fit and well and looking forward to coming back into football,” said Kinnear.

“I spoke to Derek Llambias and they were on the verge of selling the club, but since then things have changed and everything is on hold. They’re still, if you like, negotiating with a certain consortium, but they’ve not reached the value Mike is looking for.

“At the moment, what is happening to me is they have offered me a two-year deal. I was due to go back for the Dundee (United) match (last weekend) and announce it then, but it doesn’t coincide with the medical side of things. I’ve got a month to go and after that month, fingers crossed, I’ll be fine.

“If I’d have said yes, Alan wouldn’t be manager, but I wouldn’t know. If it’s sold and a new consortium comes in next week I’d think he has every chance.”

Nevertheless, in another interview yesterday, Kinnear claimed he would not be able to return to work for another three months, while repeating the argument the club could be sold in a matter of days.

He explained: “Everybody is left in a little bit of limbo. It’s come to a stage now where the people who want to buy the club are squeezing Mike. What they are offering is well below what he is looking for.

“It isn’t for the want of selling, Mike wants to wash his hands of it and get out ASAP, but people aren’t offering him the value. He’s only been offered £75m."
