The £8.4million defender has played just a dozen Premier League games but fans have already come up with their own crowd chant for him.
Steve McClaren told the Chronicle: “That’s nice that. Chancel is blooming.
“Despite him not being able to speak much English so far he is doing well for us.
“He came in straight away and has done very well. I think Colo has helped him along the way, along with Daryl Janmaat.
“We are all adapting and we are all progressing.”
