Harewood faces competition from Dean Ashton, Bobby Zamora, Teddy Sheringham and new signing Carlton Cole this term. But that does not worry him.
Harewood: "Although you take all the transfer speculation as a big compliment it was Alan Pardew who brought me here and I want to give back what he gave to me.
"It is good to have competition in the squad. I don't see it as a threat. It makes you want to go out and improve."
