After scoring last week for England Under-21s in Cork during the 3-0 win for the Three Lions, he did the trick again coming off the bench to kill off Spurs with the third goal on Monday.
Milner: "It was nice to get off the mark, but the main thing was the three points.
"It was another tough home game for us, but we seem to be grinding out the results. We are doing the business here.
"When we are going through a rough spell we are scoring a goal and getting into that winning mentality.
"Now we want to transfer that into our away games.
"I was just the same as normal - every time you step on to a football field you give it your best. It does not matter whether you are on the bench or you start, you always give your all.
"You look down their team-sheet and you know they have a lot of quality players.
"It is always going to be tough against them.
"The main thing was the win and they are tough, but we needed to gain a good result after the international break.
"We need to take this form, confidence and winning mentality into away games now.
"It is nice to be in the top eight.
"It keeps us in touch and back-to-back wins will hopefully move us up the table again on Saturday."
