Dan Gosling has made a £5,000 donation to the Newcastle United Foundation to boost the charity’s grassroots coaching across the North East.

The Newcastle midfielder’s contribution, which is part of the player’s personal commitment to aiding players of the future, will help to buy kit and training equipment including balls, bibs and cones for the Foundation’s dedicated coaching sessions which reach 36,000 young people in the region every year.

Gosling was at St Peter’s Church of England Primary School in Wallsend yesterday to formally hand over equipment, as well as joining in a coaching session with local children.
